What To Do When You
Don’t Know What To Do
By Leslie Fieger

It is often difficult to know exactly what to do. This is especially true when you decide to stop being a creature of habit and circumstance and decide instead to live a life of purpose and meaning. It may sound strange that deciding to live purposefully can leave you without a sense of direction. But it often does. Imagine that you always take the same route to work and then one day, you wake up and decide that you are going to take another road. Ah, but which one? And does it actually go where you want to end up. That’s the quandary.

Indecision. Procrastination. Doubt. Fear. All rear up whenever you are at a choice point. All serve to frustrate and impede your ability to know what to do and then actually do it. And just like that, you are back doing the habitual, back in the comfort zone, back with the known, even when you know it does not work to produce the results you desire to have in your life. Yet another opportunity to change has come and gone. All because you think you don’t know what to do.

So, here is my suggestion for what to do when you don’t know what to do…

Stop thinking about it. Get out of your mind. Let your heart make the decision. Or your gut. Instead of just trying to think your way through the decision making process; feel your way through it. What feels right? What is your gut instinct?

Sure, it often makes sense to use the old Ben Franklin method– list the pros on one side of a piece of paper and the cons on the other side and then go with the majority. That may help you to think about some possible course of action a little more clearly. But thinking something through doesn’t always supply the right answer, or even supply the way to your best answer.

It’s been my experience that many people will actually think themselves right out of making the right decision. They know in their hearts that they should go a certain way, but they allow their mind to tell them otherwise.

Listen up all you mindful people… How do you create a life that is both successful and fulfilling? Simple. You already know the answer. It is… FOLLOW YOUR PASSION. Passion is not a mental attribute; it is an emotional one. You don’t think passion, you feel it.

So, whenever you don’t know what to do, here’s what you do — check in with how you feel about it. If it feels right, do it. If it doesn’t feel right – don’t.

Now, I am not saying that you shouldn’t use your mind. I am not suggesting that you stop using your critical thinking. I am saying that when your mind is not giving you a quick and definitive answer, then go with your gut instincts. Ask any winner in any field and most times, they’ll tell you that:

- they trusted their intuition; or – it just felt right, so they did it; or – they had a gut feeling; or – they had this burning desire to do it, despite the evidence; or – they somehow just knew what to do, without knowing how they knew.

In other words, they were out of their mind and into their heart. Trust your heart. It is wiser than your head. It knows what to do when you don’t know what to do.

A Penny For Your Thoughts
By Leslie Fieger

Every artifact, every tool, everything ever designed or created by human beings for their own need, comfort, luxury, amusement or advancement began as an idea, a concept…a thought.

All wealth had its origins in thought. It is thought that creates. Everything that human beings have created is a product of mind. Wealth is created; it is the effect; thought is the cause.

A penny for your thoughts? How about a billion pennies instead for just one thought? No matter how you define wealth, your attainment of this wealth will depend upon the quality and consistency of your thinking combined with the clear and firm desire to realize what you idealize.

It is patently obvious that, since your mind is the cause and what you have is the effect, the place to work on your wealth is in your own mind.

Those who achieve and keep great wealth have learned to control the quality and consistency of their thoughts, their attitudes and their desires.

I call this the millionaire mindset. It is mostly about focus.

If you can, despite all distractions and obstacles, keep your mind focused upon what you idealize and desire, you will move steadily toward creating or realizing your ideal/thought.

Most people do not do this. They allow conditions and circumstances to determine how they think, how they feel and what they end up with. Their allowingness of that which is outside of themselves to control their mind and their results turns them into victims.

Those, who through the use of their will, use that which is inside themselves, that is…their mind, their consciousness, their idealizations, their thoughts, their desires, their passions and their beliefs to control who they are and what they create, end up as victors in the game of life.

Those who choose to adopt the millionaire mindset get to live the millionaire lifestyle. In other words, if you want to have more out of life, you must first become more. Since it is in your nature to want more, the only way you can find any kind of personal fulfillment is to become more.

It does not matter what it is that you want more of; the only way to get it is to become more. You become more by taking control of your self… your mind, your passions, your beliefs, then your words and deeds and thus… your results or what you end up having.

Simple formula … be, do, have.

If a hundred people are given exactly the same opportunity and the same resources to exploit that opportunity and the same playing field to take advantage of that opportunity, and 20 people excel at that opportunity and 20 fail (60% are average or mediocre), where is the difference?

The answer is that since the only variable in the equation is within each of the people, it is the mind, mental attitude or will-ing-ness to grow and become more that determines those who win and those who lose (and those in the majority who will, for comfort sake, remain average).

Losers will, of course, blame it on anything else and refuse to accept responsibility for being at cause. Winners will have chosen to become and do what was necessary to take advantage of the opportunity. They have accepted that they, themselves, are at cause and are grateful for the opportunity to prove that they can succeed, to prove that they are masters of their own destiny, not victims of fate and fortune.

So ask yourself, what are you thinking? A penny’s worth?? A million$ worth?? Just exactly what are you thinking and why? What is your intention in thinking what you are thinking? Want more out of life? Take control of yourself. Think on purpose, not by accident.

Attracting Abundance by Leslie Fieger

You are very attractive. No, that’s not a pick up line; it is just a gentle reminder of the enormous creative power you have to consciously align yourself with all that you hold to be ideal and to make it manifest for you to enjoy.

You are reading this article because you have attracted it into your life. You did that bit of attraction with at least some partial intent. You have also attracted or drawn to yourself everything else, both good and bad, that you have going on in your life, even if you don’t know why or understood how you did it.

Most of what we attract in life is done unconsciously; that is, we have not intentionally set about to bring specific experiences, events and circumstances; and thus, they appear to just happen to us for no particular reason. However, just because we do not know or understand why something is happening does not mean that there is no reason for it’s occurrence.

There is a universal or natural law that says that “like energy attracts like energy”. Gravity is one glaring example of this Law of Attraction. What is just as glaring, but mostly ignored, is that each of us has attracted, or pulled to ourselves, exactly the experiences, events and circumstances that are most alike who we are or how we are being energetically.

Unless we, as individuals, are extremely masochistic or carry an enormous assumed burden of guilt for which we feel the need to be punished, each of us probably earnestly desires to have a bountiful and joyful life. How then do we attract this abundance we want?

The answer is you don’t. That’s right. You don’t attract what you want. You attract that which is most alike you. In other words, what shows up in your life is that which is most in harmony with your personal vibratory output. Another way of saying it is that your outer world reality is a reflection of your inner world reality. The vibrations you emit produce the effects your perceive.

Your personal vibratory output is a complex interwoven braid of thought, belief, emotion and intention. Fortunately, you can actually choose what to think, believe, emote and intend; and so you can change your personal vibratory output to bring you into harmony with what you hold as an ideal. If personal prosperity is an ideal you hold, you can attract it by earnestly believing that you deserve and can create it, consciously thinking thoughts that support your prosperity, attaching a profound desire for prosperity and intending to do what is necessary to create that prosperity.

Yes, there are forces at work in the universe that are energetically larger than your personal output; forces like solar flares or earthquakes or your genetic history, or forces like the consensual collective consciousness of humanity, that will have an impact on your life. So what? These forces also exist for all other people, including those who have already managed to create great abundance for themselves. You can too. If you choose.

Pay attention to your thoughts, beliefs, emotions and intentions and you will soon come to understand how it is that you have attracted what you now have; and more importantly, how you can consciously and intentionally create an abundance of all thing held ideal in mind and dear in heart. Focus your attention on your consciously chosen ideals. Love them with all your heart. Believe in their reality. Think about them constantly. Take the first step toward their realization. Then the next. Go ahead. You deserve to own all the success, prosperity and abundance you harmonize. Why? Just because you are so darn attractive. And just because its the law.

Time Is Money? by Leslie Fieger

Not 1 in 10 people can tell you where money comes from, what it is and what it is good for, let alone how and why we get it.

The most common error that most people make is to equate money with wealth. That is, they believe that if one has a lot of money, one is wealthy. The following little story will show clearly that money does not equate to wealth.

Street people are today a very common site in our wealthy society. However, when I was a teenager, growing up in Calgary, there was only one visible street person. A man, who had lost both legs in WW2, sat, on his modified mechanic’s dolly (kind of a wide skateboard), in front of a downtown department store every day, begging. He looked pitiful, no legs, dressed in rags, no wheelchair, no sense of usefulness or purpose. People gave him money every day.

One day, he died. Several hundred thousand dollars was found in his squalid and rundown home (given to him by the Government when he returned home from the war many years before). No relatives were found to give the money to. No friends were found to bury him.

Lots of money. No wealth at all.

You probably know this already: money is nothing more than an agreed medium of exchange that allows people to trade one perceived thing of value for another perceived thing of value. You trade your sweat, energy, time, creativity, productivity, skill or talent for an agreed upon amount of money and then you trade agreed upon amounts of your money for those goods and services that provide you with survival, security, comfort, pleasure, self-esteem, self-actualization and personal fulfillment.

Money is the agreed upon mechanism that facilitates the flow of wealth. You trade your wealth (value) as a human being (even if it is as basic as your physical labor) for some money that you then trade for something of value (wealth) like food and shelter.

The more value that you are able to create and contribute, the more money you can gain and the more things of value you can accumulate and enjoy (be wealthy).

Nothing that you can accumulate, however, is of any value unless you have the time freedom to enjoy it. Many people often make the mistake to trade ever greater amounts of their ever dwindling time in order to get more money. Some stop here, just keeping the money without actually exchanging it for something of value. A poor trade, indeed. Many do trade the money for valuables like a nice home filled with all the modern conveniences and toys. But how valuable is a top-of-the-line stereo system and 1,000 great music CDs in your fancy home, if you have no time to enjoy them because you are forever working (trading your time) to get more money?

Since the most valuable thing you will ever have is your time, the more time you have to sacrifice (give away) to get money to have the time to enjoy what life has to offer, the less wealthy you are. The less time you need to give away in order to have the time to do the things you want to do, the more wealthy you are.

If you have managed to create a situation (the circumstances) where what you want to do with your time also produces the money to allow you to do what you want to do, then you are truly wealthy.

If what you do with your time to produce money is not what you want to do with your life (your time on planet earth), then you are impoverished, no matter how much money you make/earn.

Let’s say that what you want to do with your time (life) is create music. Let’s imagine that your music is so good that millions of people around the world buy your CDs. You end up with a lot of money. But is that the true measure of your wealth? No.

The true measure of your wealth is that you have the complete time freedom to spend your life (and your money) doing what you’d like to be doing; i.e. making music (and whatever else suits you on any given day). To quote one famous wealthy musicologist (Bob Dylan)… “What’s money? A man is a success (wealthy) if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.”

How did you gain this extraordinary wealth? Simple. By providing real (or perceived) value to the lives of other people. Want more valuables? Become more valuable. Or, provide more value to other peoples’ lives. Spend your time being a contribution. Your true wealth is not measured by what you are able to accumulate, but by what you are enabled to contribute. Become more valuable and you will be able to do or create more value and will end up having more valuables. The amount of money that passes through your hands is just a measure of how open you are to the natural flow of abundance…the exchange of one form of wealth for another. Never make the mistake of equating money to wealth. Your wealth is determined by who you are, what you can contribute (create) and the amount of time freedom you have to enjoy your life and all it has to offer. The how of life may be complex, but the why is simple: it is to revere, relish and contribute. If you choose to be free to do those three things with all your heart, you are indeed wealthy. To what purpose do you journey through life? Why do you do what you do with your time?

Time is money? No! Time is wealth. Spend it wisely. Waste or squander your time and no amount of money will ever buy it back.

Some questions to ask yourself…

What would you do with your life if money were not an issue?

What value are you creating with your time?

What value are you trading your time for?

Are you reverent? Sacred?

Are you relishing? Enjoying?

Are you contributing? Creating?

Are you wealthy?

How Do You Spell Success? by Leslie Fieger

A person who is illiterate can look at a word without knowing what it means. Perhaps he can recognize the shape of some of the letters; perhaps she even knows that certain of these shapes are representative of certain sounds; still, the veil cannot be pierced.

Each written word (‘success’, for example) becomes an arcane mystery like Egyptian Hieroglyphics before the discovery of the Rosetta stone.

There is a code that enables a person to see and understand the meaning of a word, but, for the illiterate, it is a secret and undiscovered code.

For most people, success (the actuality…not the word) may as well be an arcane secret. Success might as well be a word written in Hieroglyphics. Like the illiterate person who can look at the written word ‘success’ and not know how to translate it into their spoken language, the average person can look at the ideal of success and not know how to translate it into their day-to-day life or reality.

It is a shocking and sad fact that about 20% of people over the age of 15 (or almost 1 billion adults) remain illiterate and cannot discern the secrets of written language, cannot see the word success and read it or translate into a spoken word; but it is even more shocking that over 90% of people are in the dark when it comes to being able to discover the secret of applying the word—success. They can look at the word and read it; they can even say it; however, they are unable to translate it into a meaningful and applicable message.

These people are also functionally illiterate. The word success has no real meaning. It may as well be another word, any other word…like ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ (from the song in the movie ‘Mary Poppins’). It can be read; it can be said; but it has no meaning. It is nonsensical. It may even be fun to say it, but it has no real meaning.

This is how the word success is for most people…it is fun to say (it sounds nice to the ear), it is repeated over and over again (like a song lyric), but it has no real meaning.

Close your eyes. How do you spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious? Now, what does it mean? Define it. Achieve it.

Close your eyes. How do you spell success? What does it mean? How do you define it? How do you achieve it?

Some people imagine that it is spelled succe$$.

I imagine that success is spelled with 3 ‘c’s (see below).

Some people imagine success means having more.

I imagine that success means enjoying more.

Some people imagine that success is defined as greater accumulation.

I imagine that success is defined as greater contribution.

Some people imagine success is achieved by doing more.

I imagine that success is achieved by becoming more.

Clarity, Constancy and Congruency of ideal, purpose, belief, passion, intent, thought and action are necessary to create (spell) success.

This is how I spell success…

       Sincerity is genuineness and authenticity.
You are you; you are true.

Unique is distinctness and exclusivity.
You are special; you are one of a kind.

Clarity is lucidity and preciseness.
You are clear; you know what you are about.

Constancy is fidelity and persistence.
You stay the course; you persist.

Congruency is harmony and accordance.
You are whole and holistic in word and deed.

Excellence is quality and worth.
You give or produce value.

Spirit is strength and élan.
You know that the inner reality creates the outer reality.

Service is benefit and sacrament (to make sacred).
You are a gift and you offer you.

Success is the ideal you define; it is the purpose you live; it is the way you walk through life; it is the passion that drives you; it is the joy that you derive from each day; it is the gratitude you feel and express for the gift of life and the opportunity to be, do and have that which you aspire to; success is the way you become.

To be successful is to be self-actualized. You don’t have success. You don’t do success. You be success.

Those are some of my thoughts on success. I’ll leave you with some other thoughts from some successful folks.

"People are anxious to improve their circumstances but unwilling to improve themselves, they therefore remain bound."

—James Allen

"What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do."

—Bob Dylan

"If money is your hope for independence and success, you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability."

—Henry Ford

"Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It’s what you do for others."

—Danny Thomas

"The man who does not work for the love of work but only for money is not likely to make money nor to find much fun in life."

—Charles Schwab

"Someday I hope to enjoy enough of what the world calls success so that someone will ask me, "What’s the secret of it?" I shall say simply this: "I get up when I fall down."

—Paul Harvey

"If you want to be successful, it’s just this simple. Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing."

—Will Rogers

"There are only two real requirements for success in life. The first requirement is deciding exactly what you want. Most people never get to that point. They never decide exactly what they want in life, and because of this they simply go around in circles. The second requirement, after a person has decided what he wants, is determining the price he’s going to have to pay to get it and then resolving to pay that price."

—H. L. Hunt

All of the above may be insightful and even, perhaps helpful and inspirational; but the most important thing of all is this…what are your thoughts on success??????

What is your ideal? What is your belief? What is your purpose? What is your passion? What exactly is your intent?

What exactly is your intent in thinking what you are thinking?

What exactly is your intent in believing what you believe?

What exactly is your intent in saying what you are saying?

What exactly is your intent in doing what you are doing?

What is your passion? What is your purpose? What are you idealizing? What are you becoming? To what end do you journey through life? Each day? Each moment?

Answer these questions and you will know and have success. You will have found the key to translate the previously indecipherable and inapplicable to your life. Success will now have real meaning.

Can You Think Your Way To Riches?
by Leslie Fieger

I am going to tell you something you already know but actively ignore. 90% of the time, 90% of what you think is complete and utter drivel, useless background chatter, and recycled subconscious tape loops.

We all know that thought is a creative activity and that conscious intentional thought is responsible for ALL wealth creation; yet, we allow our minds to wander aimlessly around in the surrealistic wasteland of old ad jingles, meaningless daydreams, unfocussed societal programming and non-productive, unconscious idle thoughts.

In fact, you can compare most people’s mental activity to a TV set with 400 cable channels all controlled by a channel surfing chimpanzee holding the remote control. No focus; no attention span; no intentionality; no reason; no worthwhile purpose. No worthwhile results.

Thought creates. Focused intentional thought creates intended results. Unfocussed, unintentional thought creates unintended results. What you think about, you bring about.

In order to produce (create) wealth, you must train your mind to think the thoughts that produce wealth. And you must also train your mind to think those thoughts clearly and consistently.

I am not the first to tell you this.

Psycho-Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz
The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

These are all classics; all bestsellers. They all say the same simple thing…the results that show up in your life are created by what and how you think. So, let me ask you this…what exactly are you thinking? Why? To what purpose do you allow your mind to hold the thoughts that it does?

Most people never achieve the levels of success and happiness they aspire to. And these 90% of people willfully ignore the fact that 90% of the time, 90% of their thoughts are creating results they do not intend or desire.

Always, according to these people, it is the outside conditions and circumstances that are to blame for their lack of hoped for results. They steadfastly refuse to closely examine their own thought processes and steadfastly refuse to accept responsibility for what and how they think.

I’ll tell you this…if you really, really desire to create for yourself the ideals of wealth, health and happiness you hold, you will have to learn to think on purpose. A hammer is a tool. A chisel is a tool. Many can use them to chip away at concrete. Michelangelo used them to create the statue of David (and more). The mind is a tool. Many use it to chip away at life. A few use it to create their ideals, the life of their dreams. Your mind is your own. It is a tool. How you use it is up to you.

We can all see the stupidity of someone wanting to be healthy and fit but spending their evenings channel surfing in front of the boob tube eating junk food. It is the same as wanting to be wealthy while spending most of the time thinking random non-productive thoughts.

Physical exercise produces results. So does mental exercise. Living on a diet of junk food will prevent or destroy your health. Living on a diet of mental junk will prevent or destroy your wealth. Simple thing to understand; yet most folks live on mental junk. They watch mindless drivel on TV. They allow societal programming to dominate their thought processes. They don’t examine what they are thinking. They don’t make the effort to think on purpose. They don’t flex their mental muscles.

Can you think and grow rich? You bet. That is how all riches are created. Most, however, are more habituated to the "think and grow poor" way of life. Opt out of the mass mindset. Start thinking creatively. Start thinking wealthy thoughts.

The laws of the universe are immutable. One such law is that thought creates. Like gravity, it works all the time, not just when you want it to. Your every thought is creative. Scattered thoughts create scattered results and that sometimes confuses people and leads them to believe that thought is not always creative. 15 minutes of positive, focused, purposeful thought cannot completely override 23 hours and 45 minutes of unfocused, negative and accidental thought. If your results are mixed, it is because the quality of your thoughts is mixed.

You can deny but not escape that plain and simple truth.

Do you want to create intended and desired results? Get control of your thoughts. Do you want to be wealthy? Think your way to riches. Get the wealth consciousness.

Don’t know how? Read the books mentioned above or, better yet, read my books.

Principles Of Success by Leslie Fieger

Succinctly said, success is harmony. When the result is congruent with the ideal, success has been achieved. When the thought germinates and ripens to produce the consequence desired, victory is accorded.

Success is not happenstancial or accidental. It is intentional, providential congruency. Success comes from the direct application of certain knowledge. Success is the result of an intentional act of creation. In order to consciously create, one must first learn AND then apply the principles of creation. Those principles can be called the true knowledge of how things come into being in the universe.

The seven principles of true knowledge are:

Consciousness:

All things originate as a thought form, an imaginaton*.

Thought is creative. Your thoughts create your reality.

What are you thinking? Who or what is in control of what you are thinking? Are you?

How many of the 60,000 thoughts a day that pass through your mind are purposely chosen? How many are just noise? Or worse, how many of them are distractions from and destructive to the creation of your ideal?

Learning to control your thoughts is the first step in becoming a conscious creator.

What is your prevalent emotional state? How do you feel about your self? What do you feel about how your ideals and thoughts?

Your emotional states and prevalent attitudes are just as critical to success as are your thoughts. In fact, your emotions are the power behind your thoughts. They act as a type of gravity to draw to you the elements necessary to effectuate your ideals and specific thought patterns.

Success lies in owning and controlling your mental and emotional states of being (or aspects of self).

Coherence:

Everything is in balance; as within, so without; as above, so below.

The world you see around you is a reflection of the world already existent within you.

The conditions and circumstances of your life are the result of certain causal forces.

The external world is the effect; the internal world of thought and emotion is the cause.

The physical arises from the metaphysical. The temporal arises from the eternal.

Strive to bring coherency to all aspects of self.

Success is a question of balance, of perceiving the relationship between effectual and causal and then acting in accord with that knowledge.

Frequency:

Everything is vibration.

The true nature of all things is not in the appearance of things, but, rather, it lies in the frequency, periodicity and amplitude of their vibratory nature.

Every existent thing is because of the coherence of its’ vibratory elements.

Your every thought and every emotion is your personal vibratory output.
These vibrations intersect and interact with other preexisting vibrations in your world. These interactions create interference patterns that produce either harmony or discord.

When they produce harmony, you have success. When they produce discord, you have failure. Success comes from understanding the flow of things.

Comprehensiveness:

Everything is duality within unity.

Nothing stands alone or is separate or merely coincidental. That is simply the appearance of things to those who do not perceive the greater reality.

Everything is part of one whole. Everything is relative and all things are meaningful. There is a lesson of value in every thing and every event.

Success comes from seeing, learning and applying the lessons inherent in events and conditions.

Harmonics:

Everything flows in waveforms.

There is a flow to congruity in all things. Going with the flow is more efficient.

Harmony creates harmony. Discordant thoughts bring discordant results. Scattered emotions bring scattered reactions. Become proactive. Be intentionally harmonious.

Allow choice rather than chance to govern your thoughts and emotions.

Success comes from the intentional congruity or harmony you bring to bear on the various aspects of your self. Learn how to catch the wave and ride it.

Cause and Effect:

Everything happens in accord with natural law.

There is a reason for all things. The universe works a certain way. It is not accidental. It is providential. Creation unfolds according to certain natural laws.

All science and all philosophy is an attempt to describe and find meaning behind these natural laws. Learn how the universe works and then work the same way.

You can best be creative by being in accord with these natural laws.

Success is learning to see the consequences of your thoughts, feelings and actions.

You are not apart from natural law. These same laws that govern the formation of atomic structures and entire galaxies also govern you and your vibratory output of thought, emotion and action.

Polarity:

Everything has masculine and feminine aspects, positive and negative polarities.

There are two sides to every story — inner and outer, positive and negative, front and back, up and down, masculine and feminine, waves and troughs, dark and light. Without this duality, there would be no distinctness.

Without distinctness, your result would be immaterial. Without distinctness, you would be immaterial.

If you desire material results that are in accord with your ideals, then you must learn to balance polarities.

All material things exist because of the balance between polarities. An atom exists because of the balance between positive (proton) and negative (electron). That is natural law.

The world is your mirror. What you see in that mirror is always your self. Success arises from being able to see both sides of the mirror. That is to say, by being able to see the underlying unity of your apparent duality (or the separation of your self from your world and your results).

*An imaginaton is a thought form, a single distinct unit of consciousness, just as a photon is a single distinct unit of light or an electron is a single distinct unit of negative electro-magnetic vibration.
